Black Medium-Thick Super Glue

Starbond KBL-500 Black Medium-Thick Super Glue is a flexible, rubber-strengthened, super glue that dries jet black.  This amazing adhesive has impact and shock absorbing properties, and can expand and contract with its surrounding environment, making it the perfect glue for reconing speakers, hobby R/C car tires, woodturning inlays, and heavy-duty bonding.  It’s also ideal for hiding imperfections, filling dark voids, and accenting specific areas in your projects, particularly in spalted wood.  KBL-500 can also be sanded down and polished to a high-gloss finish and will not crack in a malleable environment!

Professional Tip: Colored super glue’s have a longer bonding time because of the added rubber compound.  It can take much longer than the typical minute or two to dry when large amounts of the adhesive are applied.  We recommend our Starbond Accelerator to reduce the bonding and drying times.

This Starbond CA is great! Mends, fills, sands and polishes up nicely!
Repair is invisible under almost any possible light source. Tough, attractive results. Just be sure to work in gradual layers to avoid any fogging and micro-voids.

Furniture and Woodturning Uses

I'm using the Medium-Thick black CA glue to fill small crack or holes in hardwood that can occur in highly figured areas.

Also to fill holes, cracks or voids in burl wood before I turn it for pens.

Clear CA would not be appropriate for these purposes.

My answer for everything!

I use Starbond Black for all of my woodworking filler needs. I even fill very large voids with it and it matches black epoxy finishes for small touch up items. I also use the clear for temporarily joining parts for knife making. The only CA glue I use.
