Hardening punky spalted wood and filling cracks in bowls. Makes final cuts and sanding smooth possible. Kind of expensive and tends to plug my nose up though, even with the door open and a fan blowing it outside
For building models, this glue is amazing: it gives the joint some flexibility and sands beautifully.
Using the black ca glue. Highlights different features in the wood. I also like adding Turquoise chips with the black to give it more pop!

Repair is invisible under almost any possible light source. Tough, attractive results. Just be sure to work in gradual layers to avoid any fogging and micro-voids.
I'm using the Medium-Thick black CA glue to fill small crack or holes in hardwood that can occur in highly figured areas.
Also to fill holes, cracks or voids in burl wood before I turn it for pens.
Clear CA would not be appropriate for these purposes.

I use Starbond Black for all of my woodworking filler needs. I even fill very large voids with it and it matches black epoxy finishes for small touch up items. I also use the clear for temporarily joining parts for knife making. The only CA glue I use.
This glue is awesome. The viscosity is perfect for filling small and large cracks. Sands nicely and looks great!
