Starbond® Super Glue Aerosol Accelerator is used to significantly speed up the drying time of cyanoacrylate super glues. Also known as a CA glue “activator”, this accelerant is solvent-based, and can be applied before and/or after the glue application. Commonly paired with slower-drying, thicker viscosity adhesives and black CA glue, It is also helpful when priming uneven surfaces. It’s ideal for material combinations that are harder to bond and for colder, drier environments that delay curing time.
Our aerosol cans deliver a finely compressed mist and are perfect for the infrequent user, as the acetone in the product does not escape the bottle organically. Also available as a pump spray, this accelerator cures super glue in seconds – no more waiting!
- Used to cure the CA that flows from joints that are being pressed together, greatly enhancing the joints strength
- When using higher volumes of CA during gap filling applications, bonding time may take much longer, so Accelerator is highly recommended

I just started using this product over the past month and it’s incredible it dries quick looks great after its sanded it sands easy everything about it, I love it, in fact bought 2 more orders from it over the past two weeks.
I bought the black CA glue and aerosol accelerator. I used it on a piece of walnut to fill a crack and a knot hole. When finished using the products I sanded the board and it looks quite well.

Worked beautifully to fill some cracks and knots on a sweet gum slab I used for a bench in my entryway.
I used this to fill worm holes in a guitar body I am making from some ancient sycamore. It works well, but it is much harder than the wood and can be tricky to get an even surface. It can expand after you sand also. It is a good product, but I wouldnt hope for a perfect surface.
Used it for filling voids in a wood and epoxy table. Works as expected. Great results.

My most used is the medium black. I use it to fill cracks and small holes in my woodworking, at it does the job beautifully!
I carve wooden hearts and use the black super glue and turquoise to fill the voids!
