How-To Guide: Repair Your Broken Tools Handle With CA Glue

1 min reading time

With a broken handle, your workshop or home tools can be rendered useless. Dead. How about bringing them back to 'life' with just a few drops of CA glue!

Don't throw away that knife, screw driver, rake, shovel, hammer, screwdriver, name it...CA glue will fix it.

If the handle has completely come off, we advise to properly clean the attaching-end (tenon) to remove any dirt or oils it may have gathered. If it's not too much trouble, blow out the "receiving" end (mortise) so free it of any dirt as well. Spray the accelerant in the mortise and then apply CA glue on the tenon - you can quickly spread it even with a silicon spatula - and then fit it back in its place.

Given the nature of applications most of these tools handle, we highly recommend our KEG-500 Flexible medium-Thick CA. This CA glue is four times stronger than our standard CA glues, and is used for heavy duty bonding that require impact and shock absorbance.
