Clog-Prevention Stoppers

I found out the hard way what the red tips are for. I had 3 bottles and one of them the lid is glued on so I have to use one of the other tops for it. I do have a question for the wood workers out there.. Have you used this CA glue instead of # 3 wood glue? Like on a chair seat or something like that?

I use the stuff everywhere. You can use it for clamping, glueing, filling small to medium cracks and larger voids with a little skill and they have all the even have plenty of how-tos on their website and with mica powders for added zing. The shelf life is the best aspect of the product. You can’t go wrong with Starbond products.

Just what I needed for a pesky problem. I drop them in a small jar of acetone to keep the buildup of glue to a minimum.

The stoppers seem to do the trick at keeping the spout closed to air and clog-free for use. The only negative is they seem to bend off track after awhile since they pick up minor accumulations of glue over time. I don't see a way around that though.

I have only used the small stoppers on a couple of bottles. Recently I placed an order that included a quantity of them. Now I am using them on every bottle I own. They are not perfect but a huge improvement over the tall white caps.
I use ca glue several times a day and the addition of the stoppers saves me several minutes each application.

I like using the stoppers while working on a project, however it is really important to wipe off the nozzle before putting it on or they get clogged up with glue.
