I am a full-time woodworker and make a variety of things. I glue inlay pieces, minerals, and use Starbond on almost everything. Good shipping and good products.
Since I started testing epoxy putty for glueing marbles to wood for my glimmer fish, 22 fish have been created and sent to folks throughout the United States including Hawaii without any marbles falling out. I was so happy with the product that when I decided to create 7 glimmer Christmas trees this month, I used Starbond black epoxy putty to glue the marbles to wood. Thank you Starbond!!
I was introduced to Starbond by a fellow woodworker @retiredwithwood and I couldn't be happier. This is a game changer for my shop when it comes to keeping projects moving and on time. Small imperfections can be quickly and easily fixed allowing me to finish custom projects faster while maintaining quality.
The sanding discs cut quicker than my current brand and appear to last longer. I purchased these as part of the promo to try out the knot-filler system, which I have used, and it works exactly as advertised. These are great products that I will buy again.
Although I only purchased two grits I know I’ll be getting more. So far they seem to last a bit longer than others I’ve used.
We’ll keep using these for a bit
I’ve been making multi-wood charcuterie and carving boards. No matter how careful I am with glue-ups and clamping, there’s ALWAYS a small gap… or two… or three, between pieces. This where Starbond saves the day. It’s easy and incredibly fast to squeeze some Medium Brown into the gaps, spray on Starbond Accelerator, repeat if necessary, and feel confident that nobody but me will know there was ever a gap. Depending on the wood, I might use clear. If I want what I’m working on to be more dramatic, I sometimes use black on a knothole or crack.
I tried Starbond Glue for the first time several months ago, and even though I’m just a “hobbyist” woodworker, have re-ordered twice AND given some Starbond glues to a friend who’s a very fine woodworker. Now he’s a Starbond fan too!
Used these with Statbond CA glue to highlight the wide rim of a Monkey pod bowl with great results.
