I had a piece of ash with an interesting knot. I used the dark starbond to fill in the cracks. Worked exceptionally well.

The Starbond dark brown CA did a great job filling in my rolling kitchen island. I stripped a dark finish and found that the voids were filled with a soft light colored filler. I dug out the filler and filled the voids with Starbond a much harder filler. I will buy more for future projects.

I was working on a walnut charcuterie board that developed a through crack along the inside grain. I had heard of Starbond but had never used it until now. I got the dark brown medium thick bottle and went to work. Since the crack ran through the entire thickness of the board I applied and cured several layers to build up the thickness. It is amazing how fast this cures with the Accelerator. I would literally be sanding 20 seconds after spraying the accelerator. The color matched my work piece perfectly and you can barely tell there was ever a crack. I highly recommend and will be buying other colors for my different woodworking projects. Works well to fill voids and as glue. Minus one star, it will (depending on the wood) stain the area around the void. Otherwise works great and I use it all the time for reclaimed wood projects for nail holes and knots especially, but have used it on some narrow cracks. The finish is smooth (after the planer) and adds character to reclaimed projects. Some voids the planer will simple knock the glue out of the void, but not often.

This is a great product for filling in small voids or cracks, whether from a human error or Mother Nature's quirks. Accelerator allows me to keep working and the product sands away easily.

Star Bond is absolutely amazing. I had a huge job to fill in the grain on oak stairs and to rebuild the corners where dogs had chewed the steps. It did the job and then some. I would highly recommend this for any project.

This Starbond is better than even hoped. Seals up and strengthens cracks, and turns flaws into highlights. Simple to use to highlight patterns or fix blems. Five star product. Buying more.

Just started with woodworking by making my son a chessboard in March of 2022. I learned of Starbond from a wood supplier. It’s great and I enjoy working with it. Quick set up and dry so I can get back to working the wood.

This glue is all that it says it is . I make and sell ( regularly) different species of wooden cutting boards , coasters, spoons , speaders, bowls out of wood cookies and serving trays . If i have a crack no matter how deep or wide it is , this glue with accelerator gets the job done . If you folow instructions for use , you can fill monster cracks and gaping knot holes , and get the piece done . For the money this product is a life saving time saver . It turns pieces that could have been headed for the scrap pile into sellable product. Incidentally, ive read some reviews of this glue and accelerator that say it never gets hard and it gums up, that will only happen if you go too fast and don't pause in between coats . By pause i mean a second or two to let the accelerator work . Its a great product for the money and the customer service , shipping , and variety are stellar . Thanks 😊

Working well for my projects

Used so far on a big box pine lumber table project. Works fantastic for adding contrasty character when securing checks and knots! Ready to sand on shallow ones in seconds. Takes a while for deeper holes as there is just a crust on top. Suggest adding a little at a time in a build up method.

I like it because despite been Medium-Thick it penetrate deep in the crack.
Multiple coats take longer to dry, even if I apply the accelerator methodically. Now, the final result still very satisfactory.

excellent tips and “how to’s” for layering. Using the very small tip extenders is/was a life saver for ALMOST ELIMINATING the follow-up sanding. Great stuff!

I purchased STARBOND 2 oz. “Dark Brown” Medium-Thick + 6 oz. Aerosol Accelerator Bundle based on recommendations of the saw mill owner I buy my wood from. He indicated that it sets fast when using the accelerator and seal crack and insect tunnels quickly so you can keep progressing your projects, without having to break while fillets or epoxy dry/cure.
Sure enough he was very right! I am trying to prepare my timber mantel in time to be placed in line either my fireplace install schedule. Without this product I would be weeks behind due to cure times and prohibitively cold temperatures.

Applicator tips are fantastic for placing glue exactly where it’s needed. I’ve always had to be creative when using epoxy or other glue to fill cracks but the fine-nose applicator tips are perfect for this.

Used this on rustic alder cabinet doors. Worked great!

This stuff is great. It will plug almost anything. It made wood I previously couldn't use look great. Highly recommend. Thanks.
